“Steven helped me inspect and fix some ceiling lights that had been installed by a previous handyman, which helped me pass the township inspection without any issues. I also asked him for estimates on a few other electrical upgrades I’m considering. He was very responsive, and his prices were very reasonable. I’ll definitely be reaching out to him again for any electrical work I need in the future.”

Before you call
Frequently asked questions.
The things people usually want to know before they let an electrician in the door.
01How soon can you come out?
Call 973-900-3543 or email CopperElectricNj@gmail.com with what is going on, and Steven will tell you when he can get there. His hours are Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 9 PM, and he takes emergency calls on nights and weekends too. If something is sparking, smoking or hot to the touch, shut off that breaker and call right away.
02Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Steven holds New Jersey Electrical Contractor license 34EI01925500, the #19255 on his site and his Instagram, and Copper Electric is insured and bonded. You can check the license yourself on the state's license lookup at newjersey.mylicense.com before anyone comes to the house.
03What areas do you cover?
Copper Electric is based in Livingston and works across Essex, Morris, Sussex, Bergen and Union counties. If you are not sure whether your town is close enough, call and ask.
04How do I get a price for my job?
The estimate is free. Call or email with what you want done, and a photo or two of the space or the panel helps, so Steven can talk it through with you and set up a time to look at it if the job needs one.
05Do you work on businesses as well as homes?
Yes. His site describes Copper Electric as powering homes and businesses, and Steven oversees both residential and commercial work.
06Something is wrong and I don't know what. Can you find it?
Troubleshooting is one of the services on his own list. Breakers that trip, outlets that went dead, lights that flicker or dim when something big turns on: finding the cause is the job, so describe what it is doing when you call.

Tell him what it’s doing and he’ll tell you what it needs.
Call 973-900-3543 and talk to Steven Byrne about the job, or email him the details.
